    1.0.0RC6 Changelog

    ================
    ...
Fixed search for type of game if nothing is being searched for
    ...

This doesn't seem to have been fixed yet!? (I think - and hope - perhaps this fix will be implemented for RC7, not 6!?)

    Refer HERE.

  2. I just played, eventually timed out on level 3, and got "You Lose!" screen, but THEN it submitted my score just as it should.  :)

I notice that tipper set a fair score about 15 minutes after making this report, so I guess the problem was maybe just a onetime glitch and has since been surmounted.

BTW, the "Exit Game" button doesn't seem to work - so to Submit simply let your time run out.

  3. I just opened GOTM here, then before I played I clicked High Scores.

    This showed

    Dazza

    panda

    westpat

    edige

    drew

    bosss

(I didn't think of checking the TITLE of that list.)

but I then played the game, then afterward the list there (" Bubble Academy Level 57 GOTM") showed 5 of those 6 (no panda!?!), plus also 3 at the bottom showing as zero:- LG, sousbi, chudoo.

Very confusing - and makes me doubt whenever I see a list like this. What am I actually seeing?!

  4. There are 2 posts from weeks ago for which I constantly get this error

You do not have permission to view this content.

                                        Error code: 2F173/H

So because I can never access them they remain forever!? in my "Unread Posts" list.

(The main forum page shows all sections with NO Unread Posts).

Please, how can I clear them ?

  5. I must agree with panda - it is surely confusing!

Until now we've only ever had ONE list of scores for any particular game - that's normally "High Scores", but when any Challenge was started we'd first DELETE all the "High Scores", then the Challenge scores would begin to populate and take over that list.

This new system, seemingly keeping both lists separately(?), is probably simpler for admins to operate (great!), but takes some understanding and getting used to!

If users are unaware it's no wonder they see a "list" of top scorers one day, then later they happen to see another list, for the same game, but it's got different names on it!?! They deserve to be perplexed!

Looking carefully into it I realise that each list does has a different heading (pity that no-one looks up there. lol) - one is "High Scores for {GameName}" while the other is  "{GameName} Team". (See screenshots below)

Can I suggest that the latter be changed to accentuate the "Team" (or GOTD, GOTW, etc) aspect, like so: "TEAM CHALLENGE scores for {GameName}" ?

Having said that, I still don't quite grasp the degree of separation. If a player plays via the Challenge system, does their score ALSO get automatically added to the High Scores system too (e.g. panda below) --- and is it possible to ignore (or be unaware of) the Challenge, and just play the game as a normal High Scores game (e.g. ovetta and katie??) ? This latter I can't figure, because if I try to do this it "forces" me to play in the Challenge regardless

You are currently participating in this Challenge, good luck! unlimited tries left

So, I can't figure how ovetta and katie got onto the HS list but NOT on the Challenge one.

  6. I'd like to be able to access a list of all H5 games.

    Capture.JPG.8dcb93577782f9a1c8c642b5bf6d76a6.JPG

I can choose here, and leave "Contains" empty, which gives exactly the list I want - but only Page 1 (of 43).

The problem is that when I then go to Page 2 (of 188!) it "forgets" about the H5 and includes ALL games - so, I can never actually see Page 2 (or beyond) of the H5-only list.  :( 😞

I find that as long as I put SOMETHING into "Contains" then it gives a list where I CAN access all pages, but of course it no longer includes *ALL* H5 games.

IF there was a wildcard character (I tried "*" and "?" - they are NOT wild. lol) then probably it would work, but as it is it seems there's no way.
    Or is there ?

  7. How does SCHEDULED RESET work ?

I search in ACP and find 3 links -

    1. [ibProArcade] Name the Archive
    2. [ibProArcade] Enable Scheduled Reset
    3. [ibProArcade] Date and Time to Reset

but these all go to exactly the same place - Main Settings - which makes no mention of any Reset.

I see there IS a section in ACP called Scheduled Reset, and all that has is a checkbox to ENABLE (which I'm too nervous to touch, yet 😉 )

How is this function intended to be used? (And is there no manual control, as previously, where we can click somewhere when we choose, and that starts the Reset process?)

  8. Personally I liked to use notifs to provide a record of games where my top score had been beaten, then periodically I'd go thru these and try to win them back. So as I process thru each I would delete that notif. Sometimes it would get to include maybe 100 covering 2 months, or in extreme cases close to the maximum, 3 months!

So yeah, I sure hope we might get a selective delete someday soon.

  9. Under ibProArcade we had a cat called "ALL Games", which included exactly what it says.

But now for some reason we have only ONE paltry game sitting in there!?

I guess now that to show all games we must click the double round arrow at the right of the "Categories" heading. This indeed works, but then it's no longer obvious that that's what we're set to (Previous version would show that cat as BOLD.)

    Am I missing something here?

And a separate but quite related comment:- I also find it confusing when searching for a game that after entering the search term I see a dropdown, showing as "All Games". Well, this is NOT true if I happen to be sitting in an individual cat at the time. For instance if I'm in the Mahjong cat, and search for Frogger, it'll SAY "All Games" there, and then find nothing. Very misleading! :( . . I've been caught a number of times with this, which leads me to doubt the truth of any searches I do - now I must remember to doublecheck if I'm in a particular cat before I trust what the search is saying.

I hate extra words unneccesarily, but I think that that "All Games" SHOULD say "All Game Types", or perhaps at present even simply "Both Types" would suffice?

And/or perhaps game searches could make it very clear near the results that they're only for a specific cat, NOT covering "All Games".

  10. If I disable Currency in the ACP - I then find that every time I try to Edit any game it comes up with the big error below.

If I then reENable Currency I can edit as normal again.

I've repeated this a number of times (and with completely different game edits) but it happens consistently.

(So in meantime it seems I can not afford to disable that currency thing.  :( )

    Sorry, there is a problem

Something went wrong. Please try again.

    Error code: EX1048

This error was probably caused by application ibProArcade.
If the issue persists, disable it and contact the author for further assistance.

  11. If I click on a game from the main Arcade Page, OR even if I click to Join/Play a Challenge, I get to a page where indeed I CAN play the game - but  it doesn't (as the old version used to) also show me the current High Scores. There IS a High Scores button I can then click, but I much prefer to see them easily right on the current screen, along with Game Desc, Controls, Alert, etc, before I decide to actually play.

Especially for a challenge I get to see the ONE top scorer and the Game Desc before I play, but none of the other details. I feel that half the fun of these arcade sites is competing against others, often not only the top player but also the various players below that.

Would a solution be possible here?
