Hmmm.... I don't think it's going to be quite as apocalyptic as you state, but I do believe that players will have to use a workaround of sorts.  But if you simply left as they are , the games should still work.

As many players are probably already aware of, Flash games use .SOL files to save game statuses for players, and those files will go into a particular folder on your hard drive.  Allegedly, Chrome had already stopped saving those .SOL files a while back, but Firefox continued to do so, until they broke with Firefox 64.  I can personally confirm the issue on Firefox (currently on version 65.0.2).  The good news is that the .SOL saving issue is said to be confirmed as fixed for Firefox 66, so when that rolls out all the Firefox players will be able to save their .SOL files again.  The bad news: if you need to have your save game cravings satisfied now, you have to revert to one of the Firefox 63.x versions.  (For security reasons, it is recommended that you not revert to a previous version.)

Logically, it should follow that if Flash support is getting cut off next year, then the way to avoid being unable to play Flash games is to simply refuse to update your browser.  I'm already planning for that day of reckoning, and when it comes I plan to simply not update my Firefox browser so that I can continue to play Flash games.  Firefox will then just be my gaming/entertainment-only browser, and for anything really important, I'll use Chrome and keep that browser updated.

I should have acknowledged my "source" it was DA or doughtaker sorry .
