I have tried a few times to get this game install and keep getting this server error.

Aha! . . I too have a problem using TAR Installer for this game. (I just hadn't yet got around to reporting it.)

 

It's fine when I click Choose Files, then Upload, but once that's complete and I do Process Uploads I get THIS:-

 

(And it doesn't appear to have ben installed at all.)

It would appear that I do not have either one of these loaded here

??? Surely THIS is the one? It is for my problem anyway.

Ronald, I believe this is the same error Have you tried doing what was suggested in this post ?

EK this seems to be the same problem you had a while back, have you tried uploading via FTP vice uploading from the ACP to see if this game will install ??

Did these suggestions work for either of you ?

Hi LG. Sorry for the long delay.

Currently neither panda nor I are able to do manual installs, so we're happy just to put this one on the back burner for a later time.

Manual install ? I asked if you had tried to load the file via FTP and see if the game will install that way

@Eagle_Kiwi As you may or may not have noticed, I have installed the game Discover China in your EK not exists (or something close to that) category.  It plays and submits just fine.

 

I uploaded the game tar to your server ( arcade/tar) via the use of FTP, logged into the ACP went to the game installer, click on re-cache tar files, and wa la, there it was, installed to the category mentioned above and all works just fine.

 

IF you are having problems with larger game tar's not installing, I would suggest that you upload them to your server via FTP to the arcade/tar folder

Ok, I'll try those steps for the other large .tars I find - and hopefully let you know how it goes.

Oh dearie me.  It all looked completely simple and straightforward - but - I'm stuck at the very first step. :(

 

I can't find an "arcade/tar" folder.  I find "/forums/arcade", but that has no sub-folders - only 4 PHP files and zillions of SWF files. No other file types, and NO FOLDERS.  (See screenshot)

 

Please, what am I doing wrong here ?

Well, after that tiny glitch it all went perfectly smoothly - I just hope I may remember how to do this next time.
