This is a good article that relates to PHP 5.6 for those of you who are holding onto that version.  It has already been deprecated by many hosting sites and at some point will eventually go away leaving many stranded who rely on it.  PHP version have already reached version 8, and php 5.6 is no longer being supported by the developers, leaving ever growing security issues for those who use it.  Check out this article for a little more information.  This is provided as a FYI post
