An idea, use points in order to play a game?

A friend of mine had an idea to make gaming in the arcade to cost points from this app:

As we all probably know collecting points in the forum for various activities can be fun. But thing is that there is no really good and meaningful way of spending points apart from pinning topics and upgrading membergroup you belong to.

 

One more attempt could be making pay X points per arcade game play. Like in the olden days: no coin - no game. 😄

 

That is the rough idea, I might go more in depth in suggesting how this could work.

 

And at the end of every month or whatever forum admins might give out a present or something to most active players.
