General FAQ

Going to update this as we go along and I find solid solutions or just things people might think may be helpful in general.

Q) My upgrade did not complete, it gave an error about permissions.

A) Check the applications/arcade/interface/cat_imgs directory (and images directory) if you've uploaded any new images or overwritten any of the images that ship with the arcade.  Make sure the owner and group are correct and that permissions are 0777 or 0755 at least.

Q) My upgrade/install did not complete.

A) Go to the Support button in the upper right of the AdminCP, and go to System Logs, there hopefully should be a message with what the issue is.  Let us know what that message says and hopefully we can help you solve it and possibly add to this FAQ.

Q) I'd like to use my own images for categories and other things

A) Use an FTP program or your Control Panel File Manager and you can upload to applications/arcade/interface/cat_imgs (and images), I would recommend using your own filenames and not overwriting the ones that are there.  Which with the images directory may be a little more difficult since you are probably trying to replace images used throughout the arcade.  Just backup everything you do, in case an update were to ever overwrite those files with the ones we ship with the arcade.

Q) Where do I enable High Score / Reporting / Installation and Wishes?

A) In the AdminCP under Categories, there will be a "Forum Select" option for each Category.  In there, are the options for each of the posting abilities.  You can enable/disable, pick a Forum, Pin/Feature Topics, etc.  You can also use the Category Copy feature to copy those settings to other Categories.  The reason it is setup this way is if you had a board with "Premium" subscribers and wanted to keep those games and their availability kept to them, or a 1,000 other reasons, you could create a category and everything would be segregated.

Q) I'm missing some menu items from the Arcade, for example, League Standings

A) Go to your AdminCP->System->Menu Manager and click on "Restore Default Configuration" in the upper right, then click on "Publish This Menu" in the upper left.
